This hands‑on turbomachine lab investigated how series and parallel turbopump arrangements affect flow rate and pressure. Using a closed‑loop test rig (reservoir, piping, instrumentation, control valves), we ran trials across varying speeds and valve settings. Series configuration tests confirmed additive head gains at constant flow, while parallel setup demonstrated combined flow increases at constant head. Data acquisition of pressure, flow, and power consumption was used to plot characteristic curves. The experiment deepened understanding of pump network design for process industries and validated theoretical performance models.
